Mold Craft designs and builds High-Volume, Multi-Cavity Molds to produce small, intricate, precision plastic parts.

What is Mold Craft’s history?

Mold Craft was established in 1964, and has evolved over the years to focus on the small intricate parts for the Electronic Products, Telecomm, Medical and Consumer goods industries. “Promote from within” has always been a Mold Craft policy, and its’ current President, Pete Manship, is an example of that. He started as a Mold Builder at Mold Craft in 1982, worked into a management position, and took over ownership in 1991. We have been in our current location since the beginning; have added on to the building to permit growth by adding people and equipment, and have room for further expansion on site.

What is Mold Craft’s future?

Mold Craft’s future is in its’ people and equipment. Mold Craft operates with a strategic plan, and constantly reviews and updates that plan. One of our guiding principles is “Don’t fall in love with the equipment” – replace it on a planned rotation with the latest, best technology, and get the old equipment off the floor. We believe and invest in education, provide training to all employees, and hire people as they graduate from the Technical and Engineering colleges. We are active in the Local and National AMBA Education Committees, and sit on the AMBA Board of Directors on both Local and National levels.

Where is Mold Craft?

What is Mold Craft’s strength?

Engineering Strength
• A strong engineering staff provides fully Detailed, Dimensioned and Toleranced Prints along with accurate Solid Models to build from.
• All clearances are engineered – eliminating all “guess-work” and “fitting” in the shop
• During the Build process, any corrections are made and corrected on the prints and Solid Models giving an accurate “As-Built” database. We retain those records for 10 years.

Mold Building Strength
• The skilled Mold Builders build all Components to print, maintaining the engineered tolerances. This allows us to provide completely interchangeable Components so that our customers do not have to do any “Fitting” as they receive replacement Inserts.
